Kilclief squeeze Ballycran out of the win by one point

In the Down Camogie Dean Davis league division 2b, Ballycran hosted Kilclief Ben Derg on another breezy summer evening.  Playing with the breeze in the first half, which was coming up from the Rubane road end of the pitch, Ballycran failed to cash in the advantage and walked off at half time with a 2 point deficit, Ballycran 1-1 Kilclief 1-3.

In the second half, Ballycran put in their best performance of the night and walked off at the second water break 3-5 to 2-4 thanks to another scorching goal from Mary-Doll Gilmore.

In the last quarter of the match, Kilclief came out with a determination to up the work rate and having pegged Ballycran on the scoreboard, inched past with another four points to steal the match by one point.
