With the recent cancellation of Cransformation 2020, hands up, who had a fleeting thought about slinking back into the couch? That’s what our W2G committee feared and so they’ve conjured up a plan that will keep you focussed on staying healthy, both inside and out!
It’s not going to be a sprint, as they say it’ll be more of a personal marathon. You’ll be able to go at your own pace and largely in your own time. Along your personal journey, W2G will create opportunities for you to enjoy exercise, nutritional advice and much more. And it gets better, all of that will be within an encouraging and nourishing support programme and environment.
Here’s roughly how it will work
Registration and the first weigh-in will be on Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd August 2020 from 8.30am to 10.30am and thereafter for each Saturday and Sunday.
Due to the Coronavirus pandemic we will be following all the necessary protocols. Therefore, we would kindly ask that all participants bring their own pen for recording their losses and we will provide you with your own weigh-in card. The committee will also keep a record of each participant’s weigh-ins and we will operate a monthly reward scheme for those hitting their monthly goal.
Talking about the committee, let’s meet the hard working team of Jennifer Hannon, Joan Gilmore, Lauren Masterson, Maire Mallon, Natasha Irwin, Paula Young, Una Gilmore and Tony Bell.
Once you have registered, you will be added to a closed Facebook group where there will be tasty, healthy recipes, fitness videos for all levels, nutritional information/tips and descriptions of local walking routes. We’ll even be posting up regular updates for walks and meeting points on the Facebook group page.
W2G@BCC will be ongoing throughout the year and costs £10 every 4 weeks payable in advance at weigh ins.
