When the Club submitted an entry into the 2019 MacNamee awards process, we never imagined that we would win in that category and certainly no one would ever have predicted it would take three years to get to clutch the trophy. But some things taste better with a little ageing they say and last Saturday’s experience was a contender for that!
The evening started with a drinks reception and traditional music in the background. The banquet was sumptuous with a winter tartelette starter followed by roast beef and seasonal vegetables, finishing off with a choice of desserts. Croke Park’s Director of Communications Alan Milton was our MC for the evening and despite having to present the two years of 2019 and 2020, postponed by covid, we managed to get through all of the winners with time to spare for a few after dinner drinks.
Here are a few pictures from the evening to help us record our attendance at the awards and you’ll find a little bit more on the award and evening here…
