Travelling out to Mayobridge on Saturday, under a cloudy sky with spells of light drizzle, Ballycran’s U12 camogs had a good game against the camogs in light blue, allowing the girls to register a similar league performance at this stage as their senior counterparts. Mayobridge were engaging and had spells of promising play but Ballycran’s defence, largely supervised by the watchful eye of Cara McGrath, spoiled any chance of a goal run from Mayobridge.
Ballycran’s half back line also pushed back any advance for easy point scoring and grabbing the spoils of any dropped sliotars, took the opportunity to lob them deep into Mayobridge’s danger zone. The Cran’s forward line kept pushing hard and with that persistance, reaped the rewards to make the journey deep into Down a worthy one. Well done to everyone and thanks to Mayobridge for the warm welcome and a sporting game. Here’s a few photos from the game to enjoy.
