Despite a strong southerly breeze that progressively died down as the evening drew in, the late low setting sun around the Park gave us that Championship season feeling.
The U16 hurlers ran up a sizeable score against a developing Bredagh squad that showed determination in in both halves in spite of a dominant presence from Ballycran. For the moment, that puts the lads at the top of the table in Group B, but there is still games to be played and so much to play for.
