New Jerseys Sponsors
Many thanks to our sponsors Bluebuild Developments Limited who recently
presented a set of new jerseys to our Under 10's
Thanks as well to our sponsors at Northland Developments who sponsored
a set of jerseys. and to all sponsors of the club.
If any team mentors from any teams in the club want to get some match reports onto the website, please email them in so that they can be put up. Ten minutes effort will be enough to provide a short report and an opportunity to give some of the younger members a mention for their efforts.
The Youth Committee are organising a quiz in Saltwater Brig on Friday 15th May to help fund the National Feile. Further details on facebook page
Well done to all the boys and girls who took part in the Down Feile in Portaferry GAC and represented the club with distinction. The boys lost out to the eventual winners of the competition in the Hurling Cup but gave a really good account of themselves. It was good to see Stuart Martin in particular making his comeback after being sidelined through a bad injury
The girls played superbly to get to the Camogie Shield final where they lost narrowly to a very strong An Riocht team. The big crowd that came out to see the girls on home soil certainly got value for money so well done girls.
Big thanks go to all the supporters for both teams and anyone who helped with teas and catering etc.
Down Feile this weekend (24th-25th April 2015). All Club members, please make a big effort to come out and support the boys and girls who have been preparing for this weekend since the winter months.
Main points of interest for the weekend:
Irish Language Beginners Course
An Irish Language Beginners Course will run for 8 weeks in St Mary's Primary School Kircubbin beginning on Friday 24th April from 7pm - 8pm. Absolutely everyone is welcome and the course will be free.Come out and learn "cupla focal" and support this new club initative delivered by Irish Language experts in the club willing to give up their time and effort for everyone's benefit
Camogie Ulster Feile in Swatragh
The standard and strength of the opposition at the Ulster Feile in Swatragh on Sunday 19th April proved too big an obstacle for our under 14 girls today but they really gave a great account of themselves. This competition will stand the girls in good stead for the Down Feile on 26th April and the experience of competing against the girls of Ballinascreen, Ballinderry, Keady and Portglenone will bring benefit when both Ballycran and St Mary's Primary School take the field next weekend. Today we had seven P7's competing against girls much older and bigger and from the efforts they made the future looks bright for the camogs.
u-12 Camogie Blitz Ballycran 18th April
A busy weekend for the Under 12's who participated in the all-County Blitz in Ballycran. On a great day's entertainment they only lost one of their games narrowly to Portaferry. Well done to all the girls and to those who help organise a very successful day. Special mention for Niamh Braniff who proved herself a great asset to the team hitting a few vital scores along the way.

Good start to the league campaign so far with a home victory over Dunloy and a hard fought draw with Cushendall. Next game at McKenna Park on Wednesday 23rd April v St Galls.
